Ahhh.. A great time at Peeg and Stacy's wedding reception and then the rest of the weekend at Doug and Kriste Millington's.. Missed Donna, but that's the way things work out sometimes. The MINI, most recently named 'Thunder' after a baby rhino on the Discovery channel, did wonderful. Fiddler's is over for another year. Geoff is married now, and I still hate leaving. It's such a let down after seeing Will and Jamie and Meghan and Ali for the weekend.. I always miss them all most after seeing them.. Liz and Joe and Joe's girlfriend Jennifer were there as well, with Kathy and Jerry.. It's a shame they had to go back so early.. Jeremy and Mandy and Cameron.. What a great time! What let down, too.. I hate leaving.

Sabine dropped a piston or something right when I got off the exit to Athens,, I changed the spark plug wires, the plugs, the distributor cap and the ignition rotor.. Never done any of that before.. Learned in the parking lot of the Athens, AL AutoZone.. Gotta learn somewhere!

Almost Fiddlers. Played at the 9th Annual Shu House Party tonight.. I didn't do so well, but I'd only really ever tried a couple of the songs.. I'm guessing Donna won't be going with me to Fiddler's now as we had a falling out this past Wednesday. One of the hardest things I've ever done/am doing..

Cracked my right index finger good on a cow bell tonight.

Don't guess I'm going to rent a car then.. I need to go by the library and get a couple of books on CD.. I should also take Monday off so I don't have to drive so far in one sitting.

Donna said in her message from this morning how odd it was that I'm 'Just gone.' God I want to be mad at her, but I can't. I want to grab her shoulders and look and say, "Don't you realize what's happening?"

It occurs to me that no one I've ever taken to fiddlers has made it back a second time. That's curious.

I don't update mine nearly as much as others.. Oh well.. It's almost Fiddler's Again! How Great! Jamie and Ali and Will and Meghan and Donna and everyone will be there! I've even gotten into the Days Inn in Athens.. (In case you read this, Will!) Now all we need is a rental car so Donna can make her nest in the back! And so we have decent room for a guitar, because I somehow doubt Jamie will take his on the plane to Florida!

Off to Alabama at 7 in the AM. Check in at 5. What a crock. Other flights were $940. I got a round trip with a car rental for somewhere around $360. Never rented a car before. Ought to be interesting. I've also not flown since before September 11, 2001. I'm sure my pony-tail will invite many searches..

So the answer is, "No. I don't have the tenacity to continue.." I've got real troubles with that.. I will try Will's little search thing.. What if I put in something real obscure and capitalized like Winston-Salem Sunday Night Dart League.. That oughta be good for something..
